Akshath Sharma

Akshath Sharma is a Senior Aerodynamicist at Alpine since January 2021, previously serving as an Aerodynamicist at Renault Sport Racing from March 2020 to January 2021. Akshath has also contributed as a Summer Research Associate at Stanford University, where a unified framework for predicting drag changes from complex surfaces was developed. At the University of Cambridge, Akshath taught undergraduate engineering courses, including wing analysis, while also working as a Summer Research Associate at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, focusing on turbulence fluctuations in sparse canopies. Initial experiences include an engineering internship at Hindalco Industries Limited and a role as an intern with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia, involving technical specifications and evaluations. Akshath holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
