Emily de Rotstein is the current Executive Director at The Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton. Emily has a long and varied history with audio and sound, having worked as both a Radio Host/Audio Technician and an Audio and Sound Effects Engineer. Emily has also been a Video Specialist and an Audio Visual Technician.
Emily's passion for audio began when they were a young girl, listening to their father's records and dreaming of one day working in the music industry. After college, they began their career as a Video Specialist with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Emily quickly realized that their true passion was audio, and they transitioned to the audio team, where they worked as a Radio Host/Audio Technician.
In 2014, Emily left the Conference of Catholic Bishops to join Saint Joseph Missions, where they became the Multimedia Director. In this role, they were responsible for editing and preparing audio files for airing on the We Are One Body radio station. Emily also functioned as a live, on-air host, keeping listeners informed of the daily programming on the station. In addition to their audio work, Emily also handled web and graphic design, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
In 2022, Emily left Saint Joseph Missions to take on the role of Executive Director at The Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton. In this role, they oversee all aspects of the organization, including its multimedia department. Emily is passionate aboutChesterton's work and is dedicated to ensuring that their legacy is preserved and properly understood by future generations.
Emily de Rotstein is a student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where they are studying communication and media studies. Emily is currently working towards their Bachelor of Arts degree.
