Jocelyne D.

Jocelyne D. is an experienced community health educator and facilitator currently serving as the Lead Community Health Educator at The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Phoenix since April 2022, focusing on overcoming cultural barriers in diabetes care and mentoring entry-level educators. Additionally, as an Arts + Healing Facilitator at Aliento, Jocelyne D. hosts workshops for individuals affected by deportation and family separation. Previous roles include being a Central Stakeholder for the DISCOVERY of Risk Factors for T2 Diabetes in Youth and serving as a Health and Wellness Instructor at the Valley of the Sun YMCA, where Jocelyne D. contributed to diabetes prevention programs. Earlier experience includes community initiatives at the YMCA and serving as a Microsoft Technical Ambassador at Education at Work. Jocelyne D. holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Educational Studies and Integrative Health from Arizona State University.
