Hendrik Burger

Hendrik Burger has a diverse and extensive work experience in the space industry. Hendrik is currently serving as the Chief Engineer at the South African National Space Agency. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Operations at CubeSpace ADCS from 2020 to 2021. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at SCS Aerospace Group and also served as its COO from 2018 to 2019. Hendrik also has experience as the CEO of SCS Space Pty(Ltd) from 2016 to 2019. Before that, they worked as an Engineering Manager at NewSpace Systems Pty(Ltd) and as a Systems Engineer at Space Advisory Company (Pty) Ltd. Hendrik started their career as a Product Development Engineer at CT LAB (PTY) LTD in 1996 and later became the Operations Manager at the same company in 2009. Hendrik's work experience showcases their expertise in various roles within the space industry and highlights their leadership abilities.

Hendrik Burger completed their Master of Engineering degree in Digital Electronics from Stellenbosch University between 1989 and 1995. Hendrik also obtained a CSEP certification in Systems Engineering from INCOSE in 2016. Prior to that, they completed Grade 12 at Bredasdorp in 1988.
