Josh Deane

Josh Deane is an experienced film professional currently serving as a Gun Technician for The Specialists Ltd. since January 2024. With a diverse background in directing and editing, Josh has conceptualized over 50 music videos for the ongoing project "good composer/dead composer" at Sacred Ash Studios, while also producing and directing the feature-length film "The Wastes," a Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist script. As a Co-Owner and instructor at Manhattan Youth, Josh teaches middle school students music, acting, and filmmaking. A seasoned freelancer, Josh has worked extensively as a film editor, director, and assistant editor for various projects, including documentary content for ESPN and a series of exercise videos for YMCA of the North. With an MFA from Barry R. Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema and a BFA from Wright State University, Josh's skill set encompasses a wide range of production techniques and artistic collaboration.
