Sophie Dowson

Sophie Dowson is currently the Video Commissioner at The Spinoff. Prior to this, they were a Producer at Augusto Group from July 2018 to March 2020. Before that, they were the Assistant Producer - Jono and Ben at MediaWorks NZ from April 2017 to July 2018. Sophie also has experience as a Stage Manager, having worked on the Opening & Closing Ceremony for the World Masters Games 2017 in April 2017. In addition, Sophie has worked as a Show Caller for World of WearableArt Ltd in August 2019 and again in August 2016. Sophie has also held Production Coordinator and Assistant Technical Manager positions at the Auckland Arts Festival in January 2017 and September 2014 respectively. Lastly, Sophie was the Class Comedians Producer at New Zealand Comedy Trust from January 2015 to May 2016.

Sophie Dowson has a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Management) from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School. Sophie is currently working in the Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management field.
