Te Aihe Butler

Te Aihe Butler is a podcast engineer and studio manager at The Spinoff. Te has also worked as a sound designer, sound engineer, and composer for various theatre companies in New Zealand.

Butler began their career as a technical operator for Ali-Cat Productions in July 2018. Te then worked as a sound designer for Tawata Productions from February to March 2018. In January 2018, they began working as a sound designer/composer for Two Productions, where they remained until the following February.

From March 2016 to May 2021, Butler was a sound engineer for The Modern Māori Quartet Limited. During this time, they also designed sound for "Body Double" at BATS Theatre and STAB in Wellington and Q Theatre in Auckland. In February 2020, they joined SquareSums&Co as a senior associate and composed music for "The Little Prince" at Anthony Harper Summertimes Theatre and Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

Te Aihe Butler has a diploma in entertainment technology from the New Zealand Drama School and a certificate in web design/development from the Enspiral Dev Academy.
