City Councilwoman at City of Saint Paul

Cheniqua Johnson currently serves as City Councilwoman for the City of Saint Paul since January 2024. Prior to this role, Cheniqua held various positions at the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, including Program Officer and Relationship Manager, from November 2020 to January 2024. Experience in federal government includes working as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives for the Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation and as a Legislative Correspondent for Congressman Keith Ellison, overseeing district communications and events. Cheniqua's professional background also encompasses roles in local government as a District Outreach Coordinator & Scheduler for Hennepin County and various internships within the U.S. Senate and the Office of Governor Mark Dayton. Cheniqua holds a Bachelor's Degree in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota and has further pursued political studies at Marquette University.
