Theo Scheer

Theo Scheer currently serves as the Administration and Academics Reporter for The State News, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Theo gained experience as a Freelance Reporter at The Rapidian and held various roles at CityFlatsHotel, including Front Desk Attendant and Line Cook. Additional experience includes working as a Student Library Assistant at Hollander MakeCentral Makerspace and as a Production Intern at HOMTV. Theo also performed as a cellist in the pit orchestra for the Grand Rapids Civic Theater's production of Matilda: the Musical. Currently, Theo is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at Michigan State University Honors College, expected to graduate in May 2026.
