Andrew Caplan

Andrew Caplan is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Projects Reporter at The State Newspaper since September 2019. Prior to this role, Andrew worked as a Staff Writer for The Gainesville Sun from October 2016 to September 2019, and briefly at The Tampa Tribune in 2016. Andrew also contributed to the Citrus County Chronicle as a Staff Writer and Copy Editor, focusing on sports, education, government, and breaking news. Their earlier experience includes a role as a Sports Correspondent at Tampa Bay Times in late 2014. Andrew holds a Master's Degree in Digital Journalism and Design from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of South Florida.
