Jennifer McCubbin M.ed.

Jennifer McCubbin, M.Ed., has extensive experience in education, currently serving as an Instructor at The Summit School since December 2021. Jennifer has also been a Reading Tutor since June 2004, specializing in student development in areas such as phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension skills, while also educating families on language disorders and the special education process. Prior roles include Special Educator for Anne Arundel County Public Schools from June 2019 to November 2021, and Reading Tutor at The Summit School's Summit Resource Center from July 2015 to June 2019, focusing on learning differences such as dyslexia and utilizing the Orton-Gillingham approach. Earlier experience includes serving as an Elementary Assistant at Chesapeake Montessori School and as an Elementary Lead Teacher at Bowie Montessori Children’s House. Jennifer holds a Master’s in Education from Loyola University Maryland and a degree in Integrative Health from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
