Marghuerita Scott

Marghuerita Scott is an experienced educator with a diverse teaching background, currently serving as a Teacher at The Summit School since July 2023. Prior roles include Academic Support Teacher at Oldfields School, Resource Teacher at St. Mary's Catholic School, and Tutor at Varsity Tutors. Marghuerita has also gained valuable experience as a Student Intern at Alternative Paths Training School and Fairfax County Public Schools, as well as Substitute Teacher at The New School of Northern Virginia. Previous instructional roles include teaching American political processes at the American Civics Center and conducting public policy research at the National Center for Learning Disabilities. Marghuerita holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education and Teaching from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Hamilton College. Additionally, Marghuerita has participated in study abroad programs at SIT and New York University.
