Richard Human

Richard Human is the current Chief Technical Officer at The Sun Exchange, a position they have held since July 2021.

Previously, Human was a Senior Software Consultant at Brave Technology Coop from May 2021 to July 2021, working in the harm reduction space to build tools to prevent overdose death.

Before that, Human was the Technical Lead and Software Engineering Director at Union Swiss from July 2010 to February 2021, responsible for building out the software platform to manage the manufacture and distribution of Bio-Oil skincare products.

Human has extensive experience in many different programming languages, including Python (Django), React Native, Node, AWS, Kubernetes, and Postgres.

Richard Human's educational career began at Fairmont High School. Richard then went on to study electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Cape Town, where they obtained a BSc Elec Eng (Hons) degree.
