Shavon Whitehead

Chief Operating Officer at The Sunshine Method

Shavon Whitehead has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2009, they started as an Impact Evaluation Intern at Inter-American Foundation, where they researched and evaluated grant applications and participated in cross-sectoral development initiatives. Shavon then joined the Peace Corps in 2011 as a Community Economic Development Specialist, where they improved marketing and financial practices of local enterprises and taught business management courses. In 2013, they became a Marketing Specialist at Innova Ao Po'i, where they increased brand recognition and consulted on strategic planning. Shavon then served as an Event Coordinator at the Peace Mural Foundation in 2015 and as the Director of Programming at The Little Lighthouse Foundation from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at The Sunshine Method since 2017.

Shavon Whitehead completed their high school education at Thomas A. Edison High School from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate diploma. Following that, they pursued their higher education at the University of Miami Herbert Business School from 2006 to 2010. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on International Finance and Marketing, along with additional coursework in Latin American Studies and Spanish.
