William Sands

William Sands is a Full Stack Software Engineer at Gumband since June 2022 and serves as a Substitute Horn for both the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra and THE SYRACUSE ORCHESTRA. With previous experience as a Substitute Horn for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and roles in software development, including Full Stack Developer at Globally Unified Air Quality, William has a substantial background in technology and music. Additional roles include Res Life Office Assistant at Eastman School of Music, Teaching Assistant for Programming Language Design and Implementation at the University of Rochester, Engineering Intern at Deeplocal, and Robotics Intern at IAM Robotics. William holds dual master's degrees in Musical Arts and Music from Yale University, following distinguished undergraduate degrees in Applied Music from Eastman School of Music and Computer Science from the University of Rochester.
