Emily Malaya

Emily Malaya has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Emily is currently the Chief Executive Officer at The Taproot since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Integrative Wellness Specialist at Miraval Resorts from September 2020 to April 2021. Emily also has significant experience working at The RK Group, where they held multiple roles including VP, General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Senior Sales Manager. Emily was responsible for driving growth, managing financial goals, and overseeing sales and marketing teams. Additionally, Emily co-founded Date Right Inc. in 2017 and worked as a Consultant at Critical Mass and LIVESTRONG. Emily holds an MBA from Texas Christian University. Earlier in their career, Emily worked at The Lance Armstrong Foundation, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, and Georgetown University, where they gained experience in program planning, office services, and production management.

Emily Malaya has a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Emily also holds an MBA from the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. In addition to their degrees, Emily has obtained certifications including Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute, Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers Europe, and completed the Introductory Sommelier Course, also from the Court of Master Sommeliers Europe.
