Carla Houston has a diverse work experience history. Carla started their career in 2007 as a Production Manager at The Anna Su Agency, where they worked until 2009. In 2009, Carla transitioned to working independently as an Art Director & Creative Designer under their own name. In 2016, they became a Visiting Lecturer at Middlesex University, a role they held until 2021. In 2017, Carla took on the position of Art Director at KANPAi! Magazine, where they worked until 2020. Starting in 2019, Carla also served as a Module leader at David Game Higher Education (DGHE), a role they continued until 2021. Most recently, Carla joined The Telegraph in 2022, where they have held the positions of Senior Designer and Lead Designer in the Marketing department.
Carla Houston holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography from the University of the Arts London, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Carla furthered their education by pursuing a Foundation Degree in Design for Graphic Communication from London College of Communication between 2010 and 2012. Carla also completed a Master's degree in Graphic Design from London College of Communication on a part-time basis from 2013 to 2014.
