Briana Vargas is an experienced professional currently serving as the Assistant to the Head of Conservation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston since October 2018, while also working as a Photojournalist for the Texas Tribune since February 2020. Prior roles include Teaching Artist at FotoFest and Guest Services Associate at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Briana has also held a position as an Emergency Services Infirmary Assistant with BCFS Health & Human Services and as Lead Photographer at the Clements Center for National Security. Earlier experience includes an internship providing photographic coverage for the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies and administrative support for the Proyecta 100k program at the University of Texas at Austin. Briana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Texas at Austin and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Arts Leadership from the University of Houston, expected to be completed in May 2024.
