David Poppe

David Poppe is President of the investment firm, Giverny Capital Asset Management. Prior to Giverny, David spent 20 years as an analyst, research director, portfolio manager, mutual fund director and ultimately CEO of Ruane, Cunniff & Goldfarb, another investment management firm. While at Ruane, Cunniff & Goldfarb, David was co-manager and director of the firm’s flagship Sequoia Fund. Previously, David was a journalist, working for publications such as the Miami Herald. David has been a member of The Trust for Public Land’s New York Advisory Board since 2019.
