Marina Chaccur

Marina Chaccur has extensive work experience in the field of typography and design. Marina is currently the Director of Brand Development at The Type Founders, where they are responsible for developing brand strategies. Prior to this, Marina worked as an Independent Business Owner at Marina Chaccur Designs, where they successfully managed their own design business. Marina also served as a Type Design teacher at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, where they imparted their knowledge and expertise to students. Additionally, Marina worked as a Producer at Type Network, where they handled strategic planning, project management, marketing, and client relations. Earlier in their career, they freelanced as a (typo)graphic designer and worked on various design projects, including custom type families, calligraphy and lettering pieces, logos, and exhibition design. Marina has also held teaching positions at Intituto Europeo di Design, Universidade São Judas Tadeu, Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo, and FAAP, where they taught typography and related courses.

Marina Chaccur obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Type and Media from the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten, Den Haag in 2010-2011. Prior to that, they received a Master's Degree in Graphic Design/ Typography from the London College of Communication in 2005. Marina completed their Bachelor's Degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in 1999-2002. Marina Chaccur attended Colégio Dante Alighieri for their High School education from 1987 to 1999.
