Pooya Darvehei

Pooya Darvehei has had a diverse range of work experiences. Pooya began their career as a Process Safety Engineer at EIED in 2011, where they worked until 2013. In 2016, they joined Murdoch University as a PhD Candidate, and went on to hold multiple roles including Research Fellow, Lecturer, Teaching Assistant, and Laboratory Demonstrator until 2021. From 2020 to 2022, Pooya worked as an AI Engineer at Fortescue Metals Group. Currently, they are employed at The U Group & Co as a Machine Learning Engineer and was recently promoted to the role of Machine Learning Team Lead in March 2023.

Pooya Darvehei pursued their education in a progressive manner, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic between the years 2006 and 2010. Pooya then proceeded to obtain a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution from 2010 to 2013. Pooya Darvehei further advanced their academic pursuits by enrolling in Murdoch University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Engineering between 2016 and 2019.
