John Mitchell

John Mitchell has extensive work experience in the utility industry. John started their career at AVANGRID, Inc. in 1992 as a Manager of Substation Maintenance Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the maintenance of substations. John then became the Manager of System Maintenance, where they managed the maintenance of the entire electrical system. In 2019, they joined The United Illuminating Company as the Director of Electric Operations.

John Mitchell attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1991. During that time, they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. John has also obtained multiple certifications, including "Be the Manager People Won't Leave" from LinkedIn in October 2022, "Leading through Relationships" from LinkedIn in December 2021, "Skills for Inclusive Conversations" from LinkedIn in December 2021, "Leadership through Feedback" from LinkedIn in November 2021, and "Using Emotions to Leverage and Accelerate Change: A Guide for Leaders" from LinkedIn in November 2021.
