Emily Burnett is the Special Events Manager at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Emily has been with the university since 2012, first as an Events Coordinator. In their current role, Emily manages reservations, communications, set-ups, and logistical support for library event spaces. On average, they oversee 300 events per year.

In addition to coordinating events, Emily also creates effective graphic designs for both print and digital purposes. Emily has designed logos, annual reports, brochures, newsletters, postcards, flyers, info specs, social media packages, and event materials for the university. Emily also consults with faculty and staff to determine objectives and requirements for meetings, conferences, and academic events.

When the university invites guest speakers to campus, Emily makes all the necessary travel arrangements, including flight, lodging, meals, transportation, and reimbursements.

Emily Burnett has a Master's of Science in Human Enviromental Sciences from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration with a focus in Health Care Management from The University of Alabama.

Emily Burnett reports to Kelly Myers, Director Alumni Relations & Special Events & Executive Director Alumni Association. They work with Meagan Owens - Alumni Relations Program Manager, Lisa Blackmon - Administrative Assistant.
