Janie Jenkins

Janie Jenkins serves as the Director of University Ceremonies and Events at The University of Alabama since January 2018, bringing extensive experience in event planning and execution. Prior to this role, Janie worked as a Sales Manager at Special Events, A Gameday Tents Company from February 2014 to January 2018, where responsibilities included coordinating multiple events, managing rental logistics, and maintaining client relationships. Earlier experience includes serving as an Events Coordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Alabama, overseeing event planning for alumni and donor engagement, and acting as an International Logistics Manager for the Alabama-Cuba Initiative, which involved managing travel logistics and negotiations with Cuban entities. Janie holds a Bachelor's degree in Restaurant, Hotel, and Meetings Management from The University of Alabama, alongside an Honor Diploma from Charles Henderson High School.
