Assistant Athletic Director, Event And Facilities Operations at The University of Alabama

Matthew Elliott has over a decade of experience in athletic operations, leadership, and event management. Currently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Event and Facilities Operations at The University of Alabama since August 2012, Matthew has also held various other roles within the university, including Director of Athletics Security Operations & Facilities and Manager of Security and Safety Operations. Prior experience includes a role as Tournament Assistant with the American Junior Golf Association, where responsibilities included overseeing tournament operations and managing interns, as well as an Operations Intern position assisting with event management. Matthew began their career as a Stadium Operations Intern with the Birmingham Barons. Academically, Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategy from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Troy University.
