Alexus Austin

Alexus Austin, MSW, is a Coordinator for Student Engagement and Career Development at the University of Arizona since August 2019, previously serving as a Blue Chip Leadership Ambassador Team Lead from August 2017 to May 2019. In the role of Team Lead, Alexus managed the recruitment of new members, conducted presentations, processed program enrollments and withdrawals, and oversaw the academic performance of over 600 students. Additionally, Alexus gained valuable experience as a LifeSTEP Intern, working with children having behavioral and emotional disorders, focusing on teaching life skills for independent living. Prior to these roles, Alexus was a Human Resources Assistant at CTI, inc, where responsibilities included processing new hire paperwork for over 200 employees and maintaining employee files. Alexus holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from ASU Watts College of Public Service & Community Solutions and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona.
