Michelle Havlik

Speech-language Pathologist II / Auditory Verbal Therapist at The University of Chicago Medical Center

Michelle Havlik is an accomplished Speech-Language Pathologist II and Auditory Verbal Therapist with extensive experience at UChicago Medicine since 2009. As a member of the Cochlear Implant Team, Michelle specializes in aural (re)habilitation evaluations and treatments for pediatric and adult cochlear implant recipients. Michelle also served as the Interim Clinical Program Manager for Pediatric Hearing Loss and Cochlear Implant programs, improving patient care workflows and developing educational materials. Prior to UChicago Medicine, Michelle owned a private practice where evaluations and therapies were conducted for children aged birth to three, collaborated with Early Intervention teams, and assisted families in transitioning to IEP services. As an adjunct professor at St. Xavier University, Michelle taught aural rehabilitation courses, and previous experience includes roles at Child’s Voice School and ICG Rehab Services, focusing on therapy for children who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Michelle holds a Master of Health Science in Communication Disorders from Governors State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from Elmhurst University.
