Stephen Weber has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Stephen started their career at UChicago Medicine, where they held various roles such as Hospital Epidemiologist and Medical Director of Infection Control & Clinical Quality. Stephen later became President of the Medical Staff and Chief Medical Officer & Senior Vice President. Currently, they serve as the Executive Vice President and Health System Chief Medical Officer at UChicago Medicine. In addition to their work at UChicago Medicine, Stephen Weber is also a Professor at the University of Chicago, where they have held positions as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Prior to joining UChicago Medicine, they worked as a Fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. At the beginning of their career, they gained experience as a Resident and later as the Chief Resident at UChicago Medicine.

Stephen Weber has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology with a focus on Genetics & Development from Cornell University, which they earned between 1987 and 1991. Stephen later pursued a Master of Science (Sc.M.) in Epidemiology from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, completing it from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from NYU Grossman School of Medicine between 1991 and 1995.
