Nolan Shaffer is a highly motivated individual with diverse experience in leadership, technology, and customer service. As the Founder and President of The UChicago Alt Protein Project, Nolan successfully recruited over 130 students, fostering engagement in alternative protein initiatives. In current roles at the University of Chicago, Nolan serves as a Student Visit Coordinator, guiding prospective students and their families, and as a Course Grader for computer science departments, where responsibilities include grading coding assignments for a large student body. Previous internships include software engineering at The New York Public Library, where Nolan worked with machine learning, and behavioral science consulting at Evidn, developing tools for energy transitions. With ongoing education at the University of Chicago, Nolan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Fundamentals: Issues and Applied Texts, building a strong foundation for future endeavors in technology and social impact.
