Philip W. Hammer

Philip W. Hammer serves as the Executive Director at the University of Chicago's Institute for Mathematical and Statistical Innovation since January 2021, overseeing a significant research institute funded by the National Science Foundation. Previously, Philip held key leadership roles at the American Institute of Physics from 2010 to 2020, including Senior Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives and Associate Vice President of the Physics Resources Center, where responsibilities encompassed fundraising and strategic initiatives. Philip's experience also includes serving as Associate Executive Officer at the American Association of Physics Teachers and Vice President at The Franklin Institute, contributing to strategic planning, fundraising, and public engagement.
