Thomas Spiegel

Thomas Spiegel is an accomplished healthcare executive with a diverse background in both medicine and business strategy. Currently serving as Vice President and UCM System Chief Quality Officer at the University of Chicago since 2014, Thomas has also held the roles of Interim Section Chief of Emergency Medicine and ED Medical Director. Prior to this, experience includes working as an Attending Physician and Instructor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center from 2008 to 2014, and a variety of managerial positions at Marriott International from 1995 to 2014. Thomas began professional career as an Analyst at the Federal Reserve System. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Creighton University, and both a Master of Science in Management Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
