Drew Hemment serves as the Theme Lead for Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences at The Alan Turing Institute, focusing on integrating imaginative approaches from the arts into emerging AI technologies. Hemment holds multiple roles at The University of Edinburgh, including Professor of Data Arts & Society, Chancellor's Fellow & Reader at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, and Director of Festival Futures at Edinburgh College of Art. Hemment previously contributed as Dundee Fellow and Reader at The University of Dundee and founded the award-winning FutureEverything, an alliance known for its annual festivals and conferences. Additional experience includes serving as Associate Director at ImaginationLancaster and Founder of Futuresonic, with a recent role as Film Critic for BBC Radio Scotland.
