Darin Fields has extensive work experience in academic leadership and faculty roles. Darin most recently served as the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at The University of Findlay, where they were responsible for planning, implementing, and reviewing academic programs. Before that, they held the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Bethany College. Darin also has experience at Wilkes University, where they served as the Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and held various other roles including Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Humanities. Darin started their career as an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Delaware and also worked as a Research Assistant and Instructor at the same institution. Additionally, Darin was a Mellon Fellow at the Virginia Historical Society.
Darin Fields completed a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Arizona in 1986. Darin then pursued a Master's degree in English at the University of Delaware from 1987 to 1989. Continuing their education, they earned a Ph.D. in English and American Literature from the University of Delaware from 1987 to 1992. In 2007, Darin attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where they completed the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education.
