Dave Champness is an experienced professional with a strong background in project management, strategic planning, and community engagement within the church and water sectors. Currently serving as the Carbon Net Zero Project Manager at Blackburn Diocesan Board Of Finance Limited, Champness oversees the development of a diocesan Carbon Net Zero plan while also managing national church mission initiatives. With roles at Village Software and The Church of England, Champness supports client account management and works to ensure vibrant Christian representation in social housing estates across England. A Fellow of the Institute of Water, Champness has held various leadership positions, including Asset Management Leader at Atkins and Head of Strategic Asset Planning at United Utilities, where significant investment strategies were implemented. With a solid academic foundation in Applied & Environmental Biology, Water & Environmental Science, and Management Studies, Champness brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organizations served.
