Gail Jukes

Gail Jukes has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and organizations. Gail currently holds the position of Non Executive Director at Sunwater since October 2023. Previously, they held the role of Chief Financial Officer at The University of Queensland from October 2021. Gail also served as a Non Executive Director at Uniseed starting from June 2022 and as the Chairperson at UQ Residences from May 2022.

Before these roles, Gail was a Councillor at Queensland Futures Institute starting from November 2021. Gail also had significant roles in Brisbane City Council, where they served as the Chair Audit Committee from July 2021, and as an Independent Member Audit Committee from May 2020 to June 2021.

Gail's earlier career includes positions such as Chief Financial Officer at Kestrel Coal Resources from July 2018 to June 2021, Chief Financial Officer at FLSmidth from May 2017 to August 2018, and Chief Financial Officer at Westside Corporation Limited from July 2015 to March 2017. Gail also worked at BG Group as a Finance Manager Upstream QCLNG and Contracts & Procurement Functional Excellence Manager from May 2011 to July 2015.

Gail Jukes completed a Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Queensland from 1989 to 1992. In 1995 to 1996, they also completed the CPA Australia Program, earning a completion certificate in Accounting and Finance. In 2010, they attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Gail Jukes also obtained additional certifications including the Standard 11 (S11) coal induction from Baseline Training in 2019, and the CEW Leaders Program from the CEW Leaders Program in 2015. Gail is also a member of Women on Boards.
