John Mangan

John Mangan has extensive work experience in the field of economics and business. John is currently serving as an Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Queensland. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal at Synergies Economic Consulting Pty Ltd.

John has also held various roles at The University of Queensland, including Director of the Australian Institute for Business and Economics, Professor of Economics, Associate Dean (Research), and Director of the Australian Institute for Business and Economics.

John has also worked as an Eminent Scholar in Residence at the Department of Education and Training (Queensland) and as an Economist / Director at Queensland Treasury. Additionally, they served as the Director of the Labour Market Research Unit at Queensland Government.

John Mangan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Lancaster University, as well as a Master of Arts (MA) degree from the same institution. John also earned a Master of Economics degree from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the same university. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Education from The University of Queensland.
