Mikaeli Costello

Mikaeli Costello has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mikaeli currently serves as the Chief Community Engagement Officer at The University of Queensland since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director, Alumni Relations and Engagement at the same institution from December 2018 to December 2021. Mikaeli also has experience working at UQ Queensland Brain Institute, where they held various roles including Director of Advancement and Communications, Manager of Advancement, Marketing and Communications, and Communications Manager from 2013 to 2018. Before joining UQ Queensland Brain Institute, Mikaeli worked as the Director at Franc Communications from 2009 to 2013 and as an Account Director - PR at Splash Consulting Group from 2008 to 2009. Mikaeli also has experience working as an International Project Manager at WorldSkills International from 2006 to 2008 and as a Senior Press Officer at the UK Government from 2006 to 2007. Mikaeli'searly work experience includes serving as a Project Manager at Dusseldorp Forum from 2002 to 2005.

Mikaeli Costello completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Queensland from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Business Communication with a focus on Media and Public Relations from Griffith University between 1998 and 2002.
