Malcolm Butler

Malcolm Butler is an accomplished academic leader and industry expert, currently serving as Vice-President and Director of Global Engagement at the University of Sheffield since March 2003, where responsibilities include driving internationalisation and supporting top university executives. In addition to this role, Malcolm serves as a Trustee and Chair of the HR Committee for Mercia Learning Trust and as Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Northern Consortium. Past roles include Non-Executive Director at NCUK Ltd, Managing Director of FaraPack Polymers Ltd, and Programme Manager at Corus UK Ltd. Malcolm holds an MBA from the University of Warwick, a Master of Engineering from the University of Leeds, a PhD in Engineering Materials from The University of Sheffield, and a BSc in Physics from the University of Warwick.
