Mirna Mustapha

Mirna Mustapha, PhD, is an Associate Professor and MRC Senior Fellow at The University of Sheffield, where responsibilities include leading an international translational collaborative research program and directing laboratory research in various domains. Previously, Mirna served as a visiting professor at The University of Sheffield during a sabbatical from Stanford University, where foundational work for a research program was established. At Stanford University, Mirna was an Assistant Professor, focusing on developing in vivo tools for research on auditory neuropathy and fostering international collaborations. Earlier career experience includes a Research Investigator role at the University of Michigan, where significant research funding was secured for studies on retinitis pigmentosa and auditory conditions. Educational credentials include a PhD from the Pasteur Institute and a Master's degree from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, complemented by a certificate in Clinical Trials Design and Management from UC Berkeley Extension.
