Lucas Applewhite

Lucas Applewhite, PMP, CEFP, is an experienced facilities management professional currently serving as the Director of Facilities Planning and Management-Coastal Operations and Director of Physical Plant at The University of Southern Mississippi since September 2018. Prior to this role, Lucas held several positions in the United States Air Force from April 1997 to August 2018, including Senior Operations Manager/Action Officer and Manager of Personnel Security. Lucas is a program manager with a background in security forces and combat arms instruction. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with a concentration in Operations Management from Southern New Hampshire University and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force.
