Marisa Alawine

Marisa Alawine is an experienced educator and support specialist currently serving as an Instructor and Student Support Specialist at The University of Southern Mississippi since January 2020. In this role, Marisa supports psychology majors in their academic journey by advising on class selections, providing academic resources, mentoring students to boost GPAs, and supervising graduate assistants. Prior experience includes serving as an Admissions Coordinator and Clinician at Clearview Recovery Center, where Marisa assessed individuals seeking substance abuse treatment and collaborated with a treatment team to deliver recovery services. With a strong academic background, including a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration in progress and a Master's in Counseling Psychology, Marisa is dedicated to enhancing student success and well-being in academic settings.
