Prentice Chandler

Prentice Chandler currently serves as the Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at The University of Tennessee Southern since November 2024. Prior to this role, Prentice Chandler held the position of Dean & Professor at Austin Peay State University from July 2017 to November 2024 and served as Associate Director & Assistant/Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati from August 2013 to July 2017. Additional experience includes Chair & Assistant/Associate Professor at Athens State University (August 2006 - August 2013), Social Studies Teacher at Tanner High School for a brief period in 2010, and various roles at Clements High School from January 2001 to May 2006. Prentice Chandler has also contributed as an Adjunct Professor of Geography at the University of North Alabama from 2002 to 2005. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Secondary Education and Teaching from The University of Alabama and multiple degrees in education and leadership from various institutions.
