Beverly R. Wendland

Beverly R. Wendland is the current Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Washington University in St. Louis. Beverly has previously worked as a Sabbatical Professor at National Institutes of Health from January 2008 to December 2008, where they learned how to do structural biology (x-ray crystallography) in James Hurley's lab. Beverly has also worked as the James B. Knapp Dean at Johns Hopkins University from July 1998 to June 2020, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of California, San Diego from January 1994 to December 1998, where they worked with Scott Emr and learned to use the bakers yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system for studying conserved mechanisms of endocytosis.

Beverly R. Wendland received their B.S. in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and their Ph.D. in Neurosciences from Stanford University. Beverly is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cell Biology and Genetics at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine.
