Dany Hachem is a graduate research assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where Dany has been contributing since January 2020 while pursuing a PhD in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering. Previously, Dany worked as an associate subsurface engineer at rybkarock from May 2021 to August 2022, focusing on modeling subsurface in-situ stresses, classifying shales' mechanical properties, and optimizing horizontal well landing depths. Dany integrated various methods for hydraulic fracture propagation simulation and developed user-friendly software for calculating in-situ stress and homogenized rock properties. Dany has also published and presented research at the Offshore Technology Conference 2022. Dany holds a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Balamand.
