Paul Toprac

Paul Toprac currently serves as a Professor of Instruction and Associate Director of the Game Development and Design Program at the University of Texas at Austin, where the focus is on graduating skilled and innovative students in digital and interactive media. As Director and Principal Investigator of the Simulation and Game Applications (SAGA) Lab, Paul is dedicated to advancing game development research within the Center for Arts and Entertainment Technology. In addition to this role, Paul is the CEO of Topcat Productions LLC, creating games that enhance learning and motivation. Previous positions include Lecturer and Committee Chair at The Guildhall at SMU, Executive Director of the Austin Technology Council, and a marketing manager at PSW Technologies. Paul holds a Ph.D. in Instructional/Educational Technology, an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
