Joshua D. Summers

Joshua D. Summers is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in engineering education and research, currently serving as the interim Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Professor at The University of Texas at Dallas since January 2021. Prior to this role, Joshua held various positions at Clemson University from January 2002 to December 2020, including Director of Education for the CU-Center for Advanced Manufacturing, where efforts were focused on developing advanced manufacturing programs, and Director of Graduate Studies, emphasizing diversity and program growth. Joshua's early work included faculty fellowships at the Naval Research Laboratory, contributing to artificial intelligence and virtual reality applications in engineering. Joshua holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
