Mona Ghassemi

Mona Ghassemi is a Professor at The University of Texas at Dallas, where roles include Chair of the Search Committee, member of the Academic Affairs Committee, member of the Academic Senate, and holder of the Texas Instruments Early Career Award in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In addition to serving as an Associate Professor, Ghassemi is actively involved in various editorial positions, including Associate Editor for High Voltage and IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation. Ghassemi's prior experience includes tenure as a College of Engineering Faculty Fellow at Virginia Tech and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Connecticut, as well as the NSERC/Hydro-Quebec/UQAC Industrial Chair on Atmospheric Icing of Power Network Equipment. Ghassemi holds a Ph.D. and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications from Shahed University.
