Dr. Shelley Howell serves as the Director of Faculty Development for Online Programs and Associate Professor of Practice at The University of Texas at San Antonio since March 2017. As a Quality Matters specialist and ACUE Teaching Fellow, Dr. Howell is dedicated to enhancing the faculty and student experience through professional development. Previous roles include Interim Associate Vice Provost, overseeing faculty success, and Assistant Dean at American Sentinel University, where Dr. Howell managed curriculum and faculty development. With extensive teaching experience across multiple institutions, including the University of Phoenix and the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Howell's expertise encompasses academic policy, course design, and instructional leadership. Dr. Howell holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Oklahoma State University, along with degrees in adult education and vocational education studies.
