Ankush Chandra, MD, MS, is a PGY-4 Neurosurgery Resident at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston since June 2020. As an HHMI Medical Research Fellow at UCSF since 2017, Ankush has worked under the mentorship of Dr. Manish K. Previous experience includes serving as a Medical Student Representative for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Young Neurosurgeons Committee from 2019 to 2021, conducting research at Massachusetts General Hospital on lipid metabolism disorders, and participating in several research initiatives at UCSF and Merrimack Pharmaceuticals. Ankush holds a Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University, a Master of Science from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Biology from Boston University. Additional experience includes roles as a Resident Assistant and Peer Tutor during undergraduate studies.
