Audra Gonzalez Welter serves as the Assistant General Counsel for The University of Texas System since March 2022, following a role as an Attorney for the Texas Department of Transportation and OHanlon, Demerath & Castillo, PC. Previous experience includes multiple attorney positions at Jackson Walker LLP and the University of Texas System, with a focus on general civil litigation and various legal matters including commercial contracts and employment law. Prior to legal practice, Audra worked as a Training Consultant for LexisNexis UK, providing legal research training to a range of institutions. Audra’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wellesley College, complemented by studies at Harvard University.
